We believe in addressing legal issues through a comprehensive approach by focusing on our clients' best interests and coming up with creative solutions to each persons' unique needs. There is always more than one solution to every problem and our goal is to find the solutions that best fit your interests.
Integrity Is A Cornerstone Of Our Practice
We are committed to acting with the utmost integrity in every interaction we have with clients, fellow attorneys, judges and other legal professionals. This starts at your very initial consultation when we will give you our straightforward assessment of your legal prospects. We may not tell you what you want to hear, but we will tell you what you need to know.
We don't play games with the law. Judges and opposing parties alike know that when we speak on behalf of a client, we mean what we say. We have worked hard to establish a solid reputation in the legal community.
Former Prosecutors Defending The Rights Of The Accused
When attorney Scott Southworth was the prosecutor for Juneau County, he created the Juneau County Diversion Program as an alternative to sentencing. Instead of giving first-time offenders a criminal conviction that set them down the path to failure, the offender would be given an opportunity to avoid a conviction that would otherwise haunt them for the rest of their life.
Attorney Phillip Stamman was later hired to run the program. Scott and Phil worked together to tailor the diversion agreements to not only fit the crime, but also to make the offender more successful in the future. The participants would go through beneficial living skills workshops, community service opportunities and other training to build up their résumé.
We know that sometimes good people make mistakes. We also know that sometimes people are wrongly accused, or simply at the wrong place and the wrong time. As former prosecutors, Scott Southworth and Phillip Stamman are now criminal defense lawyers willing to be your advocates. We want to hear your side of the story.
